About Operator Co

Focused Windows software that keeps your files on your PC.

Operator Co builds small, single-purpose Windows apps for compliance and document work: accessible PDFs, e-invoices, personal-data protection, software supply-chain evidence and website audits. Each app does one job, runs on your own computer and is meant to be bought once.

Where we are today. Our apps are in development and not for sale yet. We say so on every page, and we publish versions, prices and measured results only when an app has passed testing.

How we work

Five promises

01

Your files stay with you

The apps process documents, invoices and projects on your computer. Nothing is uploaded, and the apps do not report back.

02

Pay once

No subscriptions and no renewal invoices. When an app is on sale it is a single payment.

03

AI drafts, people decide

Where an app uses AI, its output is marked as a draft until a person has read and accepted it.

04

Honest status and limits

Every app page says what is finished, what is not, and what the app does not do.

05

No tracking

This website loads nothing from third parties: no analytics, no ad networks, no external fonts. See the privacy policy for exactly what is stored.

The apps

Five apps, one way of working

  • TagSmith-PDF repairs PDFs so they pass accessibility checks (PDF/UA-2) and drafts picture descriptions with a local AI.
  • ScrapeDesk crawls a website and reports on SEO, AI readiness, design tokens and colour contrast.
  • PromptVault Local hides personal data before you use an AI tool and restores it afterwards.
  • InvoiceCheck EU checks electronic invoices and explains in plain English what to fix.
  • CRA-Shield Local builds a software bill of materials and drafts Cyber Resilience Act reports.

All five are in development. Where each one stands.

Your account and your comments

What we keep, and how we protect it

  • You never need an account to read anything on this site. An account is only for joining the conversations.
  • An account stores the username you choose, an optional email address and either a password (kept only as a one-way hash) or your Google sign-in identifier. We never see your Google password.
  • The member database sits on the hosting server in a private folder that is not reachable from the web. It is copied once a day, and we keep private backup copies so an account is not lost.
  • Your comments show only the display name you pick, never your email address or real name.
  • You can delete your own comments at any time. Write to hello@runoperatorco.com and we delete your account and everything you posted, including from our backups.
  • We never sell or share the member list.

House rules

Keeping the conversations useful

  • Be civil, stay on topic and do not post other people's personal data.
  • At most two links per comment, and no advertising.
  • Your first comment is read by a person before it appears. After that, comments appear at once.
  • Three reports hide a comment until a moderator has looked at it.
