Use AI on client documents without sending their personal data.
PromptVault Local replaces personal data in a document with placeholders, lets you paste the safe version into any AI tool, then puts the real values back when the answer returns. It all happens on your own computer, offline.
Not for sale yet. We are testing it on many kinds of real files and measuring what it does on an ordinary PC. The version, the price and the measured results will be published here when it has passed.
Who it is for
Consultants, agencies and accountants who handle client files and want to use AI tools without breaking their own data-processing agreements.
What it does
PromptVault Local in short
Before the AI
Load a text, Markdown, CSV, JSON or Word file, or paste text. Every detected item becomes a reversible placeholder such as [EMAIL_001]. A table shows exactly what was found, so you can check it before sending anything.
After the AI
Paste the AI's answer back in and the real names, emails and IBANs return. A placeholder the AI invented is flagged instead of silently ignored.
Names that matter
Keep a list of clients and suppliers that must always be masked, even when they look like ordinary words.
A record you can file
A private audit log, and a GDPR Article 32 pseudonymisation certificate as JSON or HTML for the client file. Certificates hold counts and digests, never the personal data.
It looks for email addresses, IBANs, EU VAT numbers, payment card numbers, IP addresses, Dutch BSN and tax numbers, phone numbers, Dutch and UK postal codes, personal names, API keys and anything on your watchlist.
The mapping between placeholders and real values is kept in a vault on your computer, encrypted so that only your Windows account can read it.
Your data
It stays on your computer.
Your documents and the mapping never leave your PC. The program is built to open no network connection at all.
Honest limits
What PromptVault Local does not do
- PDF files are not supported yet. This is the biggest limit today.
- Street names and house numbers are not detected; postal codes are. Add important streets to the watchlist.
- Personal names are found with a list of given names, so review the table before you send, and use the watchlist for names that matter.
- Word files are read, but the cleaned result is written as plain text, not as a Word file.
- The vault cannot be moved to another PC or Windows user. That is a security property.
